Q: Do I need to be an engineer?
A: No, members come from many different trades and backgrounds. Non-engineers have built and run their own projects, some from kits such as those supplied by Polly Model Engineering

Q: Do I need to own an engine?
A: No, a number of members do not own engines.
Q: Do I need to build my own?
A: No, quite a few members have bought engines to run on the club tracks. Not everybody has the time, skills, equipment or the inclination to build their own.
Q: Do I need to build anything?
A: Only if you want to, but the club is a good source of information and advice.
Q: Does it have to be steam?
A: No, model engineering is a very broad subject. Members build electric locos, organs, stationary engines, different types of tooling, clocks etc., the list is endless. Please note however that the club does not have the facilities for model aircraft or boats.
Q: How do I join?
